Come to Loaves & Fishes. Free meals are served every Monday and Wednesday at the Church of Peace, 158 S. Military Road.
NOTICE OF SERVING RELOCATION!
Due to a multi-million dollar construction project at Church of Peace, starting Monday, February 29, 2016, our serving location will be at St. Paul's Cathedral located at 51 West Division Street in Fond du Lac. Clients and coordinators should enter through the side brown door labeled "Broken Bread". We will update our clients of our move back to Church of Peace in December 2016.
Also, with the location change, we will follow St. Pauls cancellation policy for winter weather. If Fond du Lac School District cancels or early releases due to cold or snow, we will not serve that evening.
Take-out meals distributed at 5:00 p.m.
Sit-down meals begin at 5:30 p.m.
Loaves & Fishes requires proof of address in order to be served a meal. You should bring any one of the following items: your most recent Alliant Energy bill, Charter bill, telephone bill, water bill, checkbook, paycheck stub, rent receipt, social security statement, or doctor bill to name a few.
The Loaves & Fishes program provides hot meals to approximately 200-350 local people twice a week. This number continues to increase as we continue to look for ways to impact families in the city of Fond du Lac that may not be able to provide nutritional meals to their families. The success of our mission relies solely on volunteers throughout the community. We encourage to you look over our website and contact us if you are interested in volunteering or making a charitable contribution to our cause.
*** CHANGE IN SERVING LOCATION ***
We are excited to announce that starting Monday, February 29, 2016, we will be serving at St. Paul's Cathedral, located at 51 East Division Street. Starting in March 2016, our home at Church of Peace will be undergoing a huge, multi-million dollar construction project, with a dedication ceremony of the new space in January 2017. When complete, Loaves and Fishes will be utilizing the Church of Peace's new kitchen, pantry, serving, and dining facilities. We will update our coordinators and clients of our return date to the Church of Peace as we get toward the end of 2016. Coordinators and clients coming to St. Pauls for Loaves and Fishes will enter through the brown door on the side of the building, that is labeled "Broken Bread", as this is the space we are sharing with Broken Bread through 2016. Clients should line up on the opposite side of Division Street as they do for Broken Bread, until the meal is ready to be served starting at 5:00p.m.
